Safety & Hygiene Procedures at Kodev

We have been working hard to introduce range of measures to keep you safe and allow you to book with confidence.

 

  1. Contactless Guest Journey
  • Warm Sri Lankan ‘Ayubowan’ welcome with physical no contact
  • Pre-arrival documentation and Digital document collection, including self-declaration form
  • E-invoice service active and contactless payments methods or advance payments advisable to minimise contact

 

  1. Temperature Check
  • Temperature check for all guests upon arrival at the mainland Boat Pick-up point.
  • Regular temperature checks and any visible respiratory symptoms screening for all in-house guests and crew

 

  1. Guest Safety Kit
  • On arrival, complementary Safety Pack including Face masks, pocket size hand sanitizer and disposable gloves

 

  1. Social Distancing
  • Our Crew is trained to maintain social distancing & offer you contactless staying experience
  • Our common areas have been re-arranged to allow suitable space for social distancing
  • All adventure activities done by Kodev & our partners have re-designed to maximise social distance policies
  • Boat transfers and rides will be allocated to one set of guests who are travelling together

 

  1. Private Dining Experience & Food Safety
  • Private Dining and In-room dinning experience
  • Spaced-out seating has been arranged at our restaurant.
  • Enhanced hygiene procedures at dining area & kitchen
  • All orders will be cook to order Custom menus focused on quality ingredients that limit contact in kitchen preparations
  • Menus replaced with Digital formats (via QR code to your smartphone) or disposable menus
  • Enhanced food safety and Hygiene protocols have implemented during delivery of raw food items and preparation
  • Kitchen and food handling crew will wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

 

  1. Hand Sanitizer & Hand Wash Stations
  • Touchless hand sanitizer (75% alcohol base/Kills 99.9% of germs) stations in the Lobby & Restaurant
  • Touchless hand wash stations with touchless soap dispensers at the Restaurant & Outdoor

 

  1. Guest Wilderness Tents
  • Thorough cleaning protocols will be implemented in guest Wilderness Tents. Cold Fogging Disinfection Technique and hospital grade sanitizing agents will be used.
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols in tents focusing on high-touch points, including light switches, door handles, remote controllers, hangers etc.
  • If possible, guest Wilderness Tents will not be re-occupied after a thorough cleaning minimum 24 hours and guests will always arrive to a sanitized and sealed Wilderness Tent.
  • Removal of Wilderness Tent brochures and magazines to reduce potential cross-contamination. Although, all publications are available on request as a personal copy
  • For guest and employee safety and well-being, daily housekeeping service will be by request.

 

  1. Disinfecting & Sanitation
  • Disinfection of guests’ luggage and footwear upon arrival
  • Frequent enhanced disinfection of all common areas including, Lobby, Restaurant, outdoor washroom and other high-touch points.
  • All third-party deliveries will be disinfected on arrival.

 

  1. Protective Face Covering & Gloves
  • High risk Kodev Team will be in personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves and sanitary masks during direct interactions with guests for safety and prevention.
  • Provision of protective masks and gloves for our guests on request

 

  1. Contactless Guest Experience
  • Adventure brochures and Kodev publications will be available in digital format printed copies are available on request as a personal copy
  • Contactless option for drop-off and pick-up at door available for room service delivery
  • Our crew will not enter your Wilderness Tent during your stay until you express a wish to have your Wilderness Tent serviced. Room-service deliveries, luggage assistance, and other services will take place in front of your Wilderness Tent.
